Beautiful old building, sitting quietly biding it's time in the snow. I would love to live in an old Japanese wooden farm house, to renovate it, bring it back to life, and make it warm again.
I don't think the newer homes are built like the old ones. Up in Sapporo the homes there were built to hold up the heavy snow loads. But on Honshu, around Sendai, I don't think they are.

Yeah, not as much snow around Sendai I guess. Been record amounts this year..
