Abe: Hey, long time, etc. Tnx for the lady's photo link. She obviously works at it diligently, and well. I haven't visited sendai-shi much lately. At the moment I'm battling a bad case of the shingles. Painful. And am on daily prednisone and about a dozen (yes, a dozen) other medications for myasthenia gravis and misc ailments. Ah, pleasures of the "golden age." But better than the alternative! Hope you had a good Thanksgiving and are faring well. Again, thanks. Best.... Erle Howery
Thanks for the link to her blog. She sure has some great pictures on her blog. I have looked at most of them, and will finish the rest after sending this to you. I don't know if I was ever in Yamagata or not. So many towns I don't remember. I'm going to visit all the blogs, sure is nice though to see what modern Japan is like. Kind of sad ion a way, remembering it like it was, and to see it now. Ah well, that's progress I guess. Thanks Abraham................Harry

IF YOU REMEMBER, MY SON VISITED SENDAI AND THE CAMP SENDAI SITE ON A RECENT BUSINESS TRIP. I TALKED TO HIM AT 1:00 AM,OUR TIME WHILE HE WAS WALKING AROUND THE CAMP. IT WAS A FASCINATING OPPORTNITY TO DO THIS.LITTLE DID I THINK IN 1953 THAT MY SON WOULD VISIT THE CAMP. IF YOU WANT TO SHARE THIS WITH ANYONE ON YOUR SITE PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DO SO.STAY IN TOUCH .
