Hey there! Thanks for your comments! Sorry taken so long, my computer at times goes strange and for some reason I can't do comments.. I can't remember what her name is (the buddhist statue) but she is holding a lotus bud... As for the walking on fire, it was an interesting experience, more because of the atmosphere, the monks where chanting non stop and burning names. You pay/donate and they write your name on pieces of wood which are then burnt to purify you, it was at a buddhist temple, but the boundaries between buddhism and shintoism are sometimes unclear, as at one point they merged only to be separated again...all a bit confusing... I didn't notice anything in particular, but i do feel i am having a very lucky year so far....

Just curious to know whose statue that is. It seems like a buddhist statue but I don't know what that thing is in the left hand.
