found a field of .....

flowers, right next to a supermarket in the middle of houses, it was quite a big field with many signs saying...something like, "protect the flowers, don't throw litter"... i love this city!

I like the city pictures you are showing. It is like Macky in Tokyo. The island has changed totally in many different ways. Yamagata shi was a small place without much downtown by the train station. I don't remember seeing a traffic light there. I like the field of flowers. So nice. By the way, there never used to be any litter anywhere and no graffiti and people even picked up cigarette butts and stripped them and saved the tobacco to make cigarettes of their own.

I like your blog because it is a constant reminder of my youth and my experiences away from home in Japan.
