finally i can eat this dish of stinky fermented soy beans, and actually enjoy it..it's taken me years to build up the courage to eat it.....smells terrible, think of blue cheese, but is very cheap, healthy, and tastey!

Oh my. I didn't think anybody would eat this stuff. Laughing. It was around, or smelled just as bad in 1953. I am glad you enjoyed it.
Today, the final pictures of the series, "A Day in the Life of a Robin," is online. I couldn't decide which picture to use. I hope you get to see them.
your photos are looking great. i've been so busy i've miss several days. and congrats on the nato. it's good, huh? but it's the one thing i can't eat with chop sticks, slippery little suckers.
i have heard the stories on Natto and have not had the courage to try it - I cant imagine why it would have such a disagreeable odor but many people have told me about it as well.

I've seen it at the Japanese grocery store in NYC but never tried it.
Now that you showed me this photo and reminded me of it, I might just go and buy a packet to try...just for the heck of it.
Please eat enough for the both of us!
